The process of creating polished concrete involves opening the top of the concrete surface with specialized equipment using industrial diamond tooling. Once the concrete surface is opened and prepared to the desired level of aggregate exposure, a water-based densifier is applied that chemically bonds with the concrete in order to harden and permanently dust-proof the surface. The flooring is then polished to a final finish which matches the desired floor design.
